Busch Named Workforce Development Employer of the Year

September 20, 2013 - Busch Precision Inc. has been named the 2012 Employer of the Year by the Waukesha-Ozaukee-Washington (WOW) County Workforce Development Board. Busch Precision was awarded this esteemed honor due to its great business ethic, involvement in the community, and dedication to the enhancement of the machining industry.

WOW is an organization that aspires to provide the highest quality and efficient workforce possible to Waukesha, Ozaukee, and Washington counties by educating a new workforce for area employers. It is through this effort that essential jobs are filled and economic growth continues to strengthen throughout southeastern Wisconsin. For those interested in entering the machining industry, Busch and WOW have experienced great success for both Busch Precision and employees entering the program. Busch, led by president Mike Mallwitz and vice president Gary Norton, has consistently provided work placements for new workers through on-the-job training programs such as WOW, where invaluable, hands-on experience is led by industry experts within the Busch leadership team.

One such program is the TIME Program (Training Individuals for Manufacturing Employment), a $4.9 million on-the-job training program. Launched in September, Mike Mallwitz gave a speech from a manufacturer’s perspective to the many attendees along with featured guest speaker Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch, this 4-year grant will run through November 2015 and provide on-the-job training for 560 participants.
